Weight Loss Cosmetic Surgery to Treat Morbid Obesity

Bariatic surgery, also known as weight loss surgery, encompasses all surgical treatments to treat morbid obesity by modification of the gastrointestinal tract to reduce nutrient intake and/or absorption. Removal of sagging skin is not included in the procedure but is important to the overall cosmetic apearance.
