MAKING OVER MOMMY Time can wear unfavorably on many women. Between the effects of pregnancy and child-rearing, or simply the natural signs of age, the female body often can benefit from surgical intervention. That’s where the MOMMY MAKEOVER comes in. An often used term, the concept has grown more popular over the past decade. It involves a variety of procedures increasingly in demand among women 35 to 55 years of age—regardless of whether they’re mothers. About half of Dr. LoVerme’s BREAST AUGMENTATION patients, whether using saline filled or silicone gel implants, are over 35, and one in 10 are over 50. From breast reshaping, lifts and augmentation to replacing volume lost to pregnancy or breastfeeding, to LIPOSELECTION® and body sculpting, or a TUMMY TUCK that removes stretched skin and strengthens the abdominal wall, women emerge with a more youthful appearance that belies both years and motherhood. |

A significant part of my practice is breast surgery – breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift and breast reconstruction. I have noticed over the past few years that there are more and more women in the 35 to 55 year old group who want to improve the appearance of their breasts.
The recent boom in cosmetic surgery has spread to teens as well as adults - but not every teen is well suited to such an operation. Emotional maturity and realistic expectations contribute to successful outcome.
