Notes: This 24 year old patient came in to meet with Dr. Pousti regarding her constricted breasts. She has tuberous (tubular) breasts deformity and wanted breast implants to correct it. Tubular breasts have a very narrow base and usually a long skin envelope. Sometimes people refer to "tubular breast" shape as the shape similar to "snoopy's nose". In the most severe cases of tubular breast, a breast lift can be done through an incision around the areola, making the breast into a more rounded shape that the patient will be happy with. In many cases however, a lift is not necessary. The patient should be aware that the final result will take months to see and that they will need to be patient. She is now about 2 months post-op correction of her tuberous breasts with 450 cc silicone gel implants made by the Mentor Corporation.

The patient found Dr. Tom Pousti on the internet and was pleased to know that he was a board certified plastic surgeon. Tuberous breasts have a very narrow base and usually a long skin envelope. Sometimes people refer to "tubular breast" shape as the shape similar to "snoopy's nose". In the most severe cases of tuberous (tubular) breasts, a breast lift can be done through an incision around the areola, making the breast into a more rounded shape that the patient will be happy with. In many cases however, a lift is not necessary. She wanted breast implants to give her more fullness all around her breasts. Also she wanted a larger but natural look. The patient was very happy Dr. Pousti could correct her tubular breasts. The patient has 575cc saline implants.

Notes: This is a 19 year old interested in breast augmentation. She was referred to double board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Tom Pousti by several family members who were previous patients. During the examination the doctor informed the patient that she had tuberous (tubular) breasts and that she would have a better result if she corrected the constricted breasts. Tubular breasts have a very narrow base and usually a long skin envelope. Sometimes people refer to "tubular breast" shape as the shape similar to "snoopy's nose". In the most severe cases of tubular breast, a breast lift can be done through an incision around the areola, making the breast into a more rounded shape that the patient will be happy with. She decided to go through with the surgery. She is 3 months post op Correction of bilateral breast constriction and bilateral breast augmentation with 375cc on the left and 350cc on the right. The implants are smooth round moderate saline implants made by the Mentor corporation. This patient is very happy with her results.
